Lifeline Canines graduates Colonel
After doing some on-the-job training, Colonel found that Carteret General Hospital was a place he loved to be and felt he could make a difference for patients, families, and staff alike. So after Colonels graduation he was happy to take his new home at Carteret General as their new therapy dog. On any given day, he can be found in patients rooms, at nurses stations, in the Outpatient Learning Center, Raab Clinic, Coleman Radiation, Oncology, Cardiac Rehab, or Physical Therapy. If there is a need for decreasing stress, lowering blood pressure, relieving depression, facilitating difficult conversations, comfort during sad times, assistance with physical skills, or even just a smiling face, Colonel is there, ready to help. He is thoroughly enjoying his new job. Of course there is plenty of nap time during the day and ball playing in the evenings, too!
