Three new Social Therapy Dog Teams graduated from Lifeline Canines’ Social Therapy Team Training Seminar on April 27, 2008. These dogs and their owners are now able to bring smiles, cheer, and a therapeutic touch to people in a variety of medical and educational settings. Barb and Maggie and Pat and Dallas are looking forward to visiting people at Carteret General Hospital and at Assisted Living facilities or Nursing Homes. Mick and Maggie are planning to work with children at the Boys and Girls Club in Morehead City. Johann and Louie are planning to start visiting at a special needs school in Winston Salem and then expand to other areas as well. Dallas is the second dog Pat has brought through Lifeline Canines seminar, so they will also continue the work that Pat and Lily have begun at Beaufort Elementary. These dogs will make a big difference in the lives of many people. |
